Bluhm Systeme with innovative labelling solutions

Nothing works in the food industry without labelling — be it mandatory legal information or additional information on proof of origin and sustainability. The reason is the consumer's increasing need for information and labelling is becoming more customised as a result. At the same time, complete traceability must be guaranteed, as must be the safety of the labelling.

The labelling systems must be able to withstand the high hygiene requirements and special production environments, for example in the frozen food sector. So before the barcode, batch number and best before date are applied to the product, fundamental questions need to be clarified.

Which marking technology is best for the individual manufacturer depends on various factors. Decisive factors include the desired production speed and the production conditions. Does the technology have to withstand cold, moisture or dust? What surface or material do the products to be labelled have? If the goods are further packaged or palletised and the containers are subsequently marked, this should also be included during consulting.

All these questions should be examined in detail in advance so that a realistic cost benefit calculation can be made. During this important planning and decision making phase, Bluhm Systeme provides an experienced contact person who works out the optimum solution together with the customer. In this way, it becomes clear whether ink, laser, labels or a combination thereof is the best choice.

Geset labelling systems from Bluhm Systeme have a modular design and feature integrated conveyor technology. They are suitable for complex and automatic labelling tasks and can be combined with all other labelling technologies. Manufacturers of food, confectionery and snacks value the complete systems, which are integrated directly into production lines, due to their flexible product handling and precise labelling. They are easy to operate and can be quickly converted to different label formats and positions.

The newly developed Geset 217 labelling system is particularly easy to install.

It labels, among other things, the top and bottom of cartons, thermoformed trays and boxes for confectionery and snacks. The development goal of this system has been consistently successful: simple handling in daily operation, which can be fully operated and maintained even with little prior knowledge. The system consists of two Alpha HSM label dispensers. On the bottom, the dispenser is combined with a Linx TT 1000 direct thermal transfer printer. This allows additional variable information to be printed on the label.
