Despite cautious expectations for the past financial year, the Group was able to achieve a significant increase in net profit compared to the previous year. The basis of the Uelzena Group, milk processing, developed positively in the reporting year. Raw milk deliveries increased by almost 4% despite the hot summer. As expected, the average farm-gate price of the record year 2022 could not be achieved. Thanks to the positive second half of the year, an average farm-gate price above 40 cents was realised.
Group sales in the 2023 reporting year totalled € 929 million and are therefore declining. Due to the weakening of the all-time high for dairy products, these product groups recorded a decline in sales of around € 122 million, with the exception of speciality products, which recorded growth of a good € 15 million. In addition to the increase in consolidated profit, the equity ratio also rose significantly year-on-year to 35.9 %. In terms of sales, the main product groups achieved slight growth of around 2,000 tonnes overall. The cheese and milk powder groups recorded increases, while the condensed milk and delicatessen and speciality products groups declined slightly. Sales in the milk fats group remained virtually unchanged.
