The handling of consignments in fully automated packaging lines requires high-resolution barcode labels. In the further course of production, however, the labels must also be reliably read. With the T8000 ODV-2D, TSC Printronix Auto ID presents a cost-effective and fully integrated solution for printing, verifying and validating 1D and 2D barcode labels.

The ODV-2D industrial enterprise barcode verification and validation printers enable suppliers to automatically verify each barcode. Because the barcode verification system is built into the printer, there is no need for additional templates, servers, software, separate devices or configuration on the printers. With the T8000 ODV-2 printers, the printer and the integrated scanner communicate with each other so that the scanner knows the location of each barcode label printed. The printer's built-in scanner automatically finds and evaluates each barcode and returns the evaluation information to the application in real time. If a faulty barcode is detected, the scanner instructs the printer to reset the faulty label.
