Loacker and Patron: against waste pollution

In addition to consciously dealing with one's own CO2 footprint, the wafer manufacturer Loacker, based in Unterinn (South Tyrol), is now demonstrating another way to protect the
environment in cooperation with the non-profit organisation Patron from Pfronten im Allgäu – with the South Tyrol CleanUP Days.

Thanks to various measures such as switching to 100% green electricity or reducing packaging waste, the company has already been able to save several thousand tonnes of CO2. In order to sensitise other people and brands to sustainable behaviour, Loacker informs and educates people about its responsible use of natural raw materials on all channels, including social media in particular.

With this in mind, Loacker has entered into a collaboration with the non-profit organisation Patron and its Plasticfree Peaks movement to attract a particularly broad audience for the CleanUP Days in South Tyrol from 14 to 17 September. Together, the region is to be freed from plastic bottles, cigarette butts and other rubbish lying around. As many as eight South Tyrolean destinations will be calling for litter to be removed from the beautiful natural surroundings as part of the CleanUP Days. With his CleanUP events and workshops, Patron wants to inspire people to awaken the protector instinct within themselves.
