For the bakery industry, GEA is focusing on energy-saving production processes, new digitalization tools and state-of-the-art technologies to ensure food quality. The new volumetric cylinder dosing machine GEA Bake Depositor MO is particularly suitable for processing cake, muffin and cupcake mixes. Machine parts that come into contact with food are removable, which allows easy maintenance and cleaning. According to the manufacturer, removal of the entire machine head is no longer necessary. Thanks to a seal specially designed for the wet area in the main part of the machine, the new type of stainless steel head prevents the accumulation of dirt and the proliferation of bacteria in the gaps between two metal parts placed one above the other or at a 90° angle. The machine consumes hardly any compressed air. The dosing piston is servomotor-driven, and the dosing cylinder can only be activated after a product has been inserted. With twelve controllable dosing cylinders, the system can significantly reduce operating costs and significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
