Kai Bockmann recently succeeded Mark Jansen as President and CEO of the Californian almond producer cooperative Blue Diamond Growers. Mark Jansen announced his retirement in October 2022. Kai Bockmann has many years of experience in the food industry, including his work at McCain Foods and as COO of the Canadian dairy company Saputo, where he managed 67 plants with 18,000 employees in the USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina and the UK. The Blue Diamond cooperative represents half of all almond growers in California.
