As a highlight, Theegarten-Pactec presented the modular high-performance machine CHS for the gentle packaging of chocolate products in different folding types. In 2020, the company had optimized the machine for the “double twist” wrapping type, achieving an output of up to 1,800 products per minute. In Cologne, Theegarten-Pactec demonstrated a prototype of the machine with the newly integrated “envelope fold” wrapping style: Small chocolate pralines are efficiently packed with an output of 800 products per minute. The Dresden-based company has set itself high goals for the industrial trials that are scheduled for after the trade fair: The CHS is to achieve an output of 1,200 products per minute with a single-track infeed and even 1,600 products per minute with a double-track infeed. The CHS is particularly flexible with regard to the possible wrapping styes. It can be converted to nine different packaging types. Quick changeovers of wrapping style and format are possible within 4 hours.
