Hosokawa Alpine AG is expanding its wide range of services for product trials in mechanical process engineering. At Alpine technical centres in Augsburg and Leingarten/Germany, applications and plant designs are tested in laboratory trials, processes are optimized and samples are produced. Now, this service has been expanded in Augsburg to include the Application Center Food, a technical centre specializing in the food industry. On an area of more than 100 m², three plants are available for customer trials.

All processes from feeding and dosing to grinding and sifting to bagging are mapped out on three floors. Jörg Krahnen, Operations Director Food Division, explains: “Hygiene and protection against contamination of the end product have the highest priority, especially when it comes to food. Therefore, our customers from the food industry have the opportunity to test the complete production process with the desired system under real conditions in our Application Center Food”.
