Goudsmit with compact tube magnetic separator

The Waalre-based company Goudsmit Magnetics has developed a new tubular magnet that requires half the installation height of its predecessor and is also twice as strong. Made of stainless steel, the magnetic separator contains a core of neodymium magnets and generates a flux density of 12,000 gauss. The conically shaped magnetic core contains more pole plates, so that even 30 μm particles adhere to more points of attack. This leads to a higher degree of separation and makes it possible to capture both coarse and smaller metal particles. The new magnet system from the Dutch company is not only suitable for installation in free-fall pipes, but also for pressurised pipes. The stainless steel ball magnet can be used in the food industry, but also in other sectors.
