Krüger & Salecker: fruit gums as a dietary supplement

The company from Bad Schwartau is represented at the trade fair in Cologne with a technology that does not harm active ingredients.

The FFW technology from machine manufacturer Krüger & Salecker is intended to set new standards in the production of fruit gums. And according to the company, more and more test series confirm these high expectations – particularly in the area of nutritional supplements/nutraceuticals.

"The test series with partners and clients in the laboratory have produced the results we expected,“ says Sören Bettex, Managing Partner. According to him, the use of FFW technology is predestined for processing formulations with active ingredients. Due to the low processing temperatures and the very fast forming and gelling processes within seconds, active ingredients degrade to a considerably reduced extent. Advantage: Compared to other processes, a much lower dosage can be used to obtain a product with the same degree of efficiency.

Krüger & Salecker presented the system for the first time at Interpack last year. And since then the technology has attracted great interest on the US market. "We already have quite a strong presence in the US with our moulding technologies for pasty masses and cereal products. And we are optimistically looking at the market for our FFW technology.“ Accordingly the Krüger & Salecker Engineering Inc., based in Salt Lake City, was founded in fall. "The first step is to set up a laboratory where customers can test machines intensively and have all the support our team of experts can offer“, says Sören Bettex.
