Automation, digitalization and sustainability: These were the three topics at Ulma’s booth at interpack trade fair. For example, as a machine solution for sustainable packaging, the company presented the FR 400 form-fill-seal machine, on which recycled mono-materials or paper are used as packaging material. It is mainly intended for bakery, confectionery and pastry applications and thus packs cookies and snack bars in a particularly sustainable and resource-saving way, according to the manufacturer. In addition, the machine can be integrated into medium- and high-speed packaging systems.
In addition to its solutions for paper and recycled mono-material, the company also showed machines that support thinner films such as BDF. The sustainable packaging solutions were developed as part of the #ULMAwecare project, which aims to achieve a circular economy in all sectors.
