At interpack trade show, the Rotzinger Group presented its expanded packaging and process portfolio for the first time. Among the highlights was the Paloma feeding system. “Paloma is our high-performance robot and offers the highest accuracy in placement,” Product Manager Christian Vouillamoz emphasized. The system grips and places products in cartons, cases, thermoformed packs, flow wrappers and case packers. Using camera-controlled high-speed delta robots, the machine identifies products on the conveyor and places them accordingly in the infeed of the downstream process. The system handles both unpackaged and packaged products, and its modular design allows direct integration of a packaging machine infeed chain (horizontal or vertical) into the cell, as well as its loading with aligned products. It is very well suited for applications in the confectionery and bakery industries. In combination with a new, integrated buffer system, it also offers new, efficient layout options.
