The Pawi Group, Winterthur/Switzerland, is taking over the Warsaw-based packaging plant Printmax. With this acquisition, Pawi is expanding its range of high-quality packaging solutions made of cardboard and paper for the food and non-food sectors.

The acquisition enables the packaging specialist to enter the steadily growing Polish market and thus strengthens its international competitive position in a fiercely contested market. Pawi has been producing high-quality cardboard and paper packaging for the confectionery and bakery industries for over 60 years. In addition, the family-owned company offers packaging for the industrial food and non-food sectors.

With plants in Winterthur and Singen/Germany, the Group is very well established in the industry. The acquisition of Printmax gives Pawi a third packaging plant, which employs around 80 people and specializes in high-finish offset printing of folding cartons as well as hot stamping, cold foil printing and special laminations.
