Ranpak, a global leader in environmentally sustainable paper-based packaging solutions for e-commerce and industrial supply chains, has launched its highly efficient Flap'it! system for automatically packaging various small products. The machine automatically sets the correct height of the package and fixes the product with inner flaps and padded corners. This improves the protection of the packaged contents, and transport damage is largely avoided, thus reducing costs and the number of product returns to be handled.

The system is operated by only one employee and, according to the supplier, can be set up practically anywhere without any problems. It requires only a small footprint and offers numerous security features. Flap'it! can pack up to nine packages per minute or 540 packages per hour, making it five times faster than manual packing processes.

The machine is integrated into label solutions for the inline application of shipping labels. Since Flap'it! folds the parcels from flat blanks, there is no need to keep finished cartons in different sizes in stock. The recipient can easily open the parcel without a knife, scissors or other tools. Small parcels can be delivered via the letterbox.

Flap'it! fits seamlessly into common picking and packing processes and packs products up to 80 mm high. Since the solution is easy to operate, there is no need for costly staff training. It also allows users to save up to 50 % on packaging material costs and significantly reduce waste volumes. Also worth mentioning is the significantly more pleasant unpacking experience compared to flow packs.
