With PurePac, Van Genechten Packaging presented its interpretation of “Transition in Packaging”, the motto of FachPack 2022 trade fair. As part of the special show at the Bayern Design booth, the packaging specialist showed how a high-quality, exclusive product appearance can be combined with sustainable packaging design in the confectionery segment.

PurePac is a recyclable folding box made of a high-quality printable and finishable standard chromo cardboard GC1/GC2, which is provided with a special barrier lacquer on the inside. This prevents the packaging from becoming greasy. At the same time, PurePac saves on the inner wrap, which is usually made of aluminium foil, aluminium-paper composite or plastic film. For the producer, this calculation works out – he does without the second packaging component and saves time, costs and resources. The construction of the folding box is characterized by a special corner density which, together with the barrier lacquer, reliably protects the product from external influences and preserves its aroma.
