Building on its increased presence in the German-speaking region, SACMI Packaging & Chocolate showcased new models of form, fill and seal machines as well as wrapping machines tailored to current market requirements: high performance, versatility and environmental friendliness.

The top model of the new horizontal form, fill and seal machine series JT Advance, which is produced and marketed under the OPM brand, was presented. The extensive configurability makes the series a suitable solution for products such as chocolate and cereal bars, snacks and pralines, which require a high output of up to 150 m of film per minute. Low operating costs, minimized operating effort and simplified maintenance are combined with shorter changeover times.

The company also demonstrated a complete range of traditional packaging machines under the Carle & Montanari brand. The focus of the trade fair presentation was the newly developed wrapping machine for double twist wrapping H-1K, a further development of the Y871 series, which is known for its speed, robustness and reliability.

The H-1K offers high efficiency and more power than previous solutions thanks to the servo-motor controlled drive profile of the single-cycle disc. With the “Adjustable Pitch” feature for freely selectable product dimensions and distances, the packaging machine goes beyond conventional mechanical, cambased principles and offers great versatility for packaging very different products. Users can recalibrate the H-1K as needed. For example, a machine originally purchased for packaging rectangular jellies can be converted at a later date to a product that is completely different in terms of size and properties, such as small, spherical sweets.
