At the beginning, Hans Kaspar AG, founded in Switzerland in 1925, produced margarine, cooking fats and semi-finished products for the baking industry. In the following decades, the portfolio continuously expanded. Today, the company’s products are at the heart of many well-known branded products, especially in the ice cream and chocolate sector.
Hans Kaspar AG has set itself the goal of refining the creations of the food and confectionery industry with its versatile semi-finished products. Seductive brittle and hard caramels made from selected ingredients are just as much a part of the house specialties as aromatic nut and aroma pastes or crisps wrapped in Swiss chocolate.
Everything is freshly made with selected raw materials. Only ultra-modern technologies and much industry experience is used. This is how premium products are created, that are geared around the latest consumer trends. For the preparation of Fi Europe 2021, the ingredients specialists have developed tailor-made products for the vegan diet as well as sugar-free inclusions.
This year, Hans Kaspar AG joined the Norwegian food company Orkla. The business will be integrated into the Orkla Food Ingredients division and will be part of the OV Group (formerly Orchard Valley Foods) and will join companies such as Candeco, Confection by Design, County Confectionery and Cake Décor. OV Group is thus expanding its wide portfolio of semi-finished products for the international confectionery industry and strengthening its core competence in the caramel sector. The group offers the full range of “Confectionery, Ingredients and Decorations”: hard and soft caramel, toffee, butterscotch and honeycomb as well as innovative sugar and sprinkle decorations.
