The demand for products that are precisely tailored to the needs of the customer is increasing. This also applies to the chocolate market. So far, transfer sheets have usually been used for the production of personalized pralines. The motif is printed on the sheet with food colouring and then transferred to the pralines. This process has two significant disadvantages: on the one hand, there are customers who are allergic to these colours; on the other hand, the sheet must be disposed of after a single use, as it only serves as a carrier for the motif.
To solve these problems, the company Meine Formen from Neustetten/Germany has developed a new type of mould. The product called Chocopro is characterized by the fact that it combines the advantages of professional polycarbonate moulds such as high stability and durability with the inexpensive deep-drawing technology.
Instead of transfer sheets, the company offers so-called motif sheets made of high-quality, durable PET-G. These sheets have a relief and are inserted into a polycarbonate magnet mould together with a so-called height insert. Such moulds have a metal base plate, which is held by magnets sunk into the mould.
In contrast to the transfer or decoration method described, the motif or logo on the pralines is visible as a relief. The motif sheet can also be reused, which is good for the environment and your wallet. By exchanging the sheet, pralines can be customized quickly and inexpensively. According to the provider, the Chocopro system is also very suitable for personalized Advent calendars, where not only the packaging print, but also the pralines can be customized as desired.
