Klinkhammer Intralogistics expands its product portfolio by autonomous shuttle robots taking over the transport to the order picker as well as the storage in the racking system of the small parts warehouse. As of now, e-commerce and retail suppliers in search of flexible, scalable automated warehouse systems are able to buy Skypod systems of the company Exotec Solutions, integrated into their overall logistics with the warehouse management software and service of Klinkhammer. Customers in search of an overall solution for their logistics processes will benefit from the combination of innovative robot technology and system integration with the digital networking and competent on-site service of Klinkhammer.
The fleet of autonomous robot shuttles is able to navigate in the automated small-parts warehouse and on the floor. The remote-controlled robots reach speeds of up to 4 m/s. Using AI, the robot shuttles are moved in all directions and in height, this means in three dimensions. They remove containers from racks up to 10 m in height and transport them to the order pickers. An elaborate conveyor pre-zone and lifting technology, as is the case with conventional shuttle warehouses, can thus be avoided. Through the use of additional robot shuttles, the system can be adapted to the dynamic market development of the customers and is therefore very well suited to efficiently cope with a fluctuating order situation in the retail and e-commerce. The system redundancy enables a Skypod to be taken out of the fleet at any time without operational restrictions. In combination with other conveyor and storage systems as well as the connection to goods receipt and shipping, Klinkhammer, as a general contractor and system integrator, offers an overall intralogistics concept including digitization of the warehouse.
