After a planning phase of just under five years, construction work for the location expansion of Gerhard Schubert GmbH at the company headquarters in Crails- heim/Germany started recently with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. This is the largest construction project ever in the history of the packaging machine manufacturer. The relocation of the adjacent state road will create much-needed space for the construction of a new, 5,000 m2 pre-assembly hall and another 4,400 m2, four-storey administration building for a total of 300 employees.
The company’s continued growth necessitated the expansion of the assembly space for the top loading (TLM) packaging machines. The construction work worth more than EUR 30 m is expected to be completed by June 2022. The company also covers all incurring costs of the necessary road relocation.
