Fragile biscuits and delicate sweets are a challenge for fully automatic processes. Ishida has developed the CCW-RV-GS multihead weigher specifically for such tasks. Its equipment allows a particularly gentle yet powerful packaging. The multihead weigher reaches a speed of up to 90 cycles per minute with an accuracy of 0.1 g. Despite this performance, the product passes undamaged into the packaging. This is ensured by design features such as gentle slopes, flat angles, minimized drop heights and the bow-shaped design of the shells (image). Plastic inserts serve as padding in the bowls and in the discharge funnel. A special ring closure in the spout prevents product collisions during the transfer to the packaging machine. The five-level digital filtering of the weighing cell signal and efficient vibration damping ensure a constant high performance. Thanks to the shortened setting time, a maximum number of weighing heads is available for the combination calculation.
