For the first time, the Gerhard Schubert GmbH took part in the “Factory of the Year” competition and convinced directly: the jury awarded the Crailsheim site (image) of the packaging machine manufacturer the overall prize. Among other things, it paid tribute to the company's ability to innovate, to the quality along the entire value chain and to the respectful treatment of employees. The congress of the same name and the award ceremony in March 2019 will be the final of this year's competition.

In their statement of reasons, the eight jurors from business and science emphasized in particular that Schubert is innovating ahead of time, has very high performance figures and drives digitalization with a clear strategy. This results in the top loading packaging machines that make the 1,300 employee company successful. Based on a modular concept, the project teams develop highly flexible solutions that are tailored to the needs of each customer.
