At Taghleef Industries (Ti), food safety is high on the agenda for 2018. Under the slogan “Better Taste – Less Waste”, the company’s global focus is on food safety, sustainability and recyclability.
Ti presented its extended range of high-barrier films of the type Extendo (image). “These films extend the shelf life of the food, protecting it from mineral oils while preserving aroma and flavour,” said Mario Molinaro, Director of Business Unit Flexible Packaging Europe. “In addition, there are significant benefits for the logistics and distribution of food. The result is best-in-class films that keep food fresh and reduce food waste.” Thanks to the mono-material-based design, Extendo films are fit for a forward-looking circular economy.
The company also presented its Nativia films. These include transparent, white voided and metallized films, which are made from bioplastics (polylactic acid) and thus make a contribution to resource conservation.
