The Italian Cama Group develops, produces and installs packaging machines and automated production lines for the food and non-food sector worldwide. The solutions cover all processes for primary and secondary packaging, from the feeder to the production line to the final packaging for palletizing. At Anuga Foodtec, the company showcased its new IF318 Fully Robotized Monoblock Loading Unit. It combines all the features for which Cama machines are known, such as cabinet-free technology, ergonomics and user-friendliness.

Particularly noteworthy is the use of the innovative iTRAK linear drive system from Rockwell Automation. “With this modularly scalable linear motion control system, several magnetically driven carriages can be controlled independently”, explained Konrad Beretitsch, Executive Key Account Manager (image). “Thanks to the simple, stepless configuration of the iTRAK chainless conveyor system, ­different movement and speed requirements can be achieved.” The system is fully integrated with Rockwell ­Automation hardware and software, which Cama uses for automation and control.
