At the General Meeting of the northern section of the Federal Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI) in Lübeck / Germany, Dr Thomas Beer, Member of the Executive Board of Martin Braun Backmittel und Essenzen KG, has been elected new Chairman of the northern section. In this function, he is also a member of the BDSI presidium. He succeeds Holger Strait (J. G. Nieder­egger GmbH & Co. KG), who did not stand for election. The members of the northern section elected Mr Strait Honorary Chairman of the section.
