ProSweets Cologne will be presenting a new hall concept from 2 to 5 February 2025, that ensures visible segmentation, better orientation and emotionalisation of the individual individual theme areas. The previous segments will be transformed into worlds, in which current trends and innovative solutions in the areas of production, materials and ingredients will take centre stage. There is lively life at the exhibition centre in the Rhine metropolis.
By introducing the theme worlds, ProSweets Cologne is expanding the presentation of the entire value chain. As part of Sweet Week, ProSweets Cologne and ISM 2025 are moving even closer together. And sweets processing is getting in on the act by offering guided tours of the trade fair, just like last year. Up to 20 people can make informal contact with six companies at a time. Take the opportunity to exchange ideas.
From 2 to 5 February 2025, ProSweets Cologne will take place together with ISM as part of Sweet Week. The new positioning of Lab5 by ISM in Hall 10.1 will dovetail the two trade fairs even more closely. Lab5 by ISM, which focuses on new products, trend snacks, start-ups, scale-ups and small artisan businesses, will be located in its own area directly at the East Entrance. The new positioning offers even greater synergy effects and business opportunities between ProSweets Cologne and ISM, as the entire value chain for confectionery and snacks will be represented. Sweet Week 2025 thus offers optimal conditions for intensive networking and business opportunities between confectionery and snack manufacturers as well as suppliers of raw materials, packaging and machinery.
"As the only supplier fair that specialises in the confectionery and snack industry, the continuous development of the trade fair and the consideration of the needs of our exhibitors and visitors is particularly important to us," emphasises Guido Hentschke, Director ProSweets Cologne. "Following the successful repositioning of Lab5 by ISM, we are going one step further in 2025 and offering a conceptual and strategic innovation with the theme worlds, which will provide an even better overview, orientation and emotionalisation. Last but not least, this will optimise the trade fair experience and create even better business opportunities."
As part of the new hall concept, the previously individual segments will be organised into four specific theme worlds that reflect the latest product solutions and trends, which will help visitors to find their specific topics. ProSweets Cologne thus offers exhibitors a unique platform for business dialogue. The introduction of the new theme worlds means that the entire spectrum of the industry is optimally covered.
World of Packaging Materials In addition to classic materials such as paper, metal, plastic and glass, innovative and sustainable solutions are increasingly in demand. This theme world covers the entire packaging process, from design and material selection to finished packaging.
World of Packaging Technology The World of Packaging Technology demonstrates live on site how flexible machines and fully automated systems make production future-proof. Production and packaging machines work together seamlessly here.
World of Sweet & Snackable Ingredients The demand for innovative, cost-effective and sustainably produced snacks and confectionery is growing. This theme world covers the complete range of semi-finished products, raw materials and ingredients for confectionery and snack production.
World of Production Technology This theme world presents production technologies that sustainably optimise confectionery and snack production.
ProSweets Cologne will once again be the leading business platform for the global supplier sector of the confectionery and snack industry in 2025. Participants can expect a practice-oriented and innovative specialist programme on the Expert Stage and the new Sweet Week – Talks & Tastings Stage, which will be enriched by interactive event formats, attractive event areas in Hall 10.1 and exciting talks and tastings. A special focus will be on organised matchmaking between production managers and suppliers of machinery and equipment in order to promote targeted business relationships.
"ProSweets Cologne is already setting new standards from next year with a precisely aligned and forward-looking event and stage programme. Our goal is to become the leading content platform in Europe for suppliers and producers in the confectionery and snack industry," explains Hentschke. "In order to achieve this goal, we are offering a broad and practice-oriented thematic block on digitalisation using AI tools, which will be underlined by application-oriented best practice examples from exhibitors. Cooperation with renowned partners such as the DLG and input from exhibiting companies with concrete solutions for increasing efficiency in production are a key success factor."
