Royal Duyvis Wiener has worked with Conacado Agroindustrial to open a new cocoa processing plant in the Dominican Republic. The plant, recently opened by the President, Luis Abinader, will produce cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, cake, powder and much more. In addition to cocoa processing, Conacado Agroindustrial also announces its first tentative steps into the world of chocolate production.

The relationship between Conacado Agroindustrial and Royal Duyvis Wiener is longstanding, and this new process line has been in the making for quite some time. All major processing equipment in the plant has been manufactured by Royal Duyvis Wiener.

“Dominican beans are top of the bill when it comes to flavour”, says Elizabeth Burgos, Head of Quality for Conacado Agroindustrial. “The combination of bean quality, the patented Royal Duyvis Wiener roaster and the alkalizing process leads to the flavour explosion Conacado was aiming for”.
